Amir Abdu, 34, was recently named Managing Director of Investments at BGO, where he now oversees the firm’s U.S. data center and powered land strategy. Despite a high school career test offering no guidance, Abdu carved his own path through internships at Goldman Sachs and a role at GreenOak (now BGO), steadily rising through the ranks since 2015. As one of the youngest to be promoted to Managing Director at BGO, he played a key role in the firm’s top-performing multifamily asset, which saw a 50% rental income increase post-renovation. He also co-developed BGO’s powered land strategy alongside Co-CEO John Carrafiell, targeting land for potential data center redevelopment.
