PERE: BGO makes senior leadership changes

BGO has announced significant changes to its senior leadership team, elevating five executives to global and regional roles as part of its long-term succession planning. Toby Phelps has been appointed co-president alongside Amy Price, while Jonathan Epstein now leads the US business, succeeding Chris Niehaus, who has become chair of the US division. Steve Reents is now deputy head of US and chief investment officer for all US equity strategies, and Francesco Ostuni has taken over as head of European equity. All five promoted leaders are long-standing members of the firm.

These changes accompany the creation of a global management committee comprising 11 executives who will drive BGO’s strategic direction over the next 5 to 10 years. Co-CEOs John Carrafiell and Sonny Kalsi emphasized the importance of internal promotion and early succession planning, ensuring continuity and transparency for investors and team members alike. The committee will enhance collaboration across regions while reinforcing BGO’s global capabilities and leadership pipeline​.
