BGO expands executive leadership team to accelerate value creation and drive long-term investment performance and growth

Strategic appointments reflect BGO’s commitment to internal talent, global expertise, and investor-focused leadership continuity.


NEW YORK & LONDON (April 7, 2025) – BGO today announced a strategic expansion of its executive leadership team designed to strengthen performance delivery and accelerate long-term value creation for its investors. Building on six years of momentum since its formation, BGO is reinforcing its leadership from within to ensure continuity, deep expertise, and agility across its global platform.

Key Leadership Appointments

  • Toby Phelps is appointed co-President of BGO, partnering with co-President Amy Price in this role. Together, they will support co-CEOs John Carrafiell and Sonny Kalsi and the Global Management Committee in delivering the firm’s long-term strategic vision and executing BGO’s investor-focused strategic priorities across geographies.
  • Jonathan Epstein is appointed Head of U.S., supported by Steve Reents, who is appointed Deputy Head of U.S. and U.S. Chief Investment Officer for all of BGO’s U.S. equity funds and strategies.
  • Francesco Ostuni is appointed Head of European Equity and will continue his role as Chief Investment Officer for European Equity.
