SAN FRANCISCO (March 31, 2020) — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded BentallGreenOak with the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence award, recognizing the company's continued leadership in energy management and achievements in reducing its environmental footprint for the 10th consecutive year. The honor builds on the company's 12-year record as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award winner.

Since 2009, BentallGreenOak has cut energy consumption by 297 million kilowatt hours across its portfolio, saving more than $36.2 million USD for its clients and tenants. The emissions reduction that the company has achieved to date is equivalent to taking 44,584 passenger vehicles off the road for one year. BentallGreenOak's momentum has continued to build over the years, with 95 properties achieving ENERGY STAR Certification in 2019, compared to 88 properties in 2018. Additionally, 108 BentallGreenOak properties have an ENERGY STAR Score, with an average score of 74.8.
