IREI Shop Talk: The employee-engagement factor in achieving improved sustainability
Recently, at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Atlanta, Anna Murray, VP of sustainable investing at BentallGreenOak, discussed new research that quantifies the cost savings resulting from tenant engagement and energy efficiency programs, based on 15 years of building data from hundreds of office buildings in North America. The results of the organization’s ForeverGreen and Eco Tracker programs have been more than encouraging. Murray joins us — along with Avis Devine, associate professor of real estate at York University — to discuss the programs’ strategy and results.
