Victoria, BC (May 22, 2025) – BGO Properties announced today that Hillside Centre won Silver at the prestigious ICSC MAXI Global Awards, receiving international recognition for its Bike Valet program — a unique initiative promoting sustainable transportation and community engagement. Hillside Centre is proudly managed by BGO Properties, where the team’s focus on community engagement and support for sustainability efforts inspired this winning program.
Initially launched as a pilot project, the Bike Valet was developed to support cycling as a practical and eco-friendly transportation option for shoppers. Due to strong community support and high participation, the program has become a seasonal fixture in Hillside Centre’s marketing and operations strategy.
Over the past two years, the program has delivered measurable impact, valeting over 7,400 bikes to encourage eco-friendly commuting and offering free safety clinics to more than 150 children.
