Weave Living expands Japan multi-family footprint in partnership with BGO Strategic Capital Partners

Latest joint venture consolidates Weave Living’s presence in Tokyo to 35 properties

 

TOKYO, Japan – January 19, 2026 – Weave Living, Asia-Pacific’s pre-eminent living sector specialist, and BGO Strategic Capital Partners, the Secondaries Investment Management business of BGO, a global real estate investment management firm, have announced a joint venture to acquire a portfolio of 10 residential properties in Tokyo valued at c. JPY 22 billion. The move builds on Weave Living’s continued strong momentum in Japan and throughout the region taking the living sector powerhouse’s footprint to over 53 properties in 5 key gateway cities throughout Asia-Pacific.

The latest acquisitions will see Weave Living expand its Weave Base brand of traditional multi-family apartments in Tokyo, alongside the introduction of multiple locations of Weave Place, the company’s long-stay furnished accommodation product line. Weave Living also offers its flagship luxury apartment brand Weave Residences in Tokyo’s Minato-ku area.

Weave Living has now acquired over JPY 40 billion of assets in Tokyo in the last 6 months, accelerating its pace of investment in the market. At the same time, the company recently announced multiple exits in Japan, demonstrating its full life-cycle funds management capabilities of deal sourcing, financing and acquisition, lease-up, asset management and successful monetisation in Japan.
